How to Use

Evening:
Lightly massage 1-2 pumps of NEW BEGINNING GENTLE 2% HPR RETINOID SERUM onto your cleansed face and neck avoiding the eye area. Allow to absorb and apply your favourite night-time moisturiser.
(If you like to use a toner after cleansing, avoid AHA/BHA toners and at night opt for a hydrating essence instead)

Morning:
Apply FLAWLESS DEFENCE BROAD SPECTRUM SPF50 & PRIMER after moisturising as the final step of your morning skincare routine. 

We recommend approx 3 pumps for face and neck (don’t forget ears or hairline). Follow with make up (only if needed!)

Reapply SPF throughout the day and use daily – 365 days of the year.

Retinoid Tips:

If you are new to retinoids, we recommend you build up to daily use gradually, using twice a week for the first 2 weeks, three times a week for a further 2-4 weeks, working up to every night if well tolerated. For many, using every other night sees effective results. 

While using, always apply FLAWLESS DEFENCE during daytime hours to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and maintain skin health and longevity.

Sensitive skin?

You might also like to try the sandwich technique: after cleansing apply a light layer of moisturiser, then apply your retinoid then apply another light layer of moisturiser. This allows your skin to stay protected and rest assured, your retinoid still works!

If you have very sensitive skin, test a drop of serum on a small area of your forearm for sensitivity before applying to the face for the first time. Only introduce your skin to one new product at a time so you limit any other variables.

We do not recommend pregnant or breastfeeding women use retinoid products, if you have any concerns always consult your doctor before use.

Safe Sun Tips:

UVA rays (which contribute to skin ageing) can penetrate windows and affect your skin even indoors, in a car or on a train. FLAWLESS DEFENCE helps protect your skin from premature ageing and environmental stress, not just sunburn. If you're outdoors or after swimming, re-apply every 2 hours (even the best SPF needs topping up to stay effective).

Practice safe sun  

- Avoid the midday sun (between 11am and 3pm) Seek shade and cover up

- Do not stay too long in the sun, even while using a sunscreen product

- Add extras if needed — sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and a little shade go hand-in-hand with good SPF habits
