why we're ready for 2026

Author: Curated Beauty Co-Founders

Every year, the beauty industry publishes trend reports predicting what’s coming next.  Looking back at 2025, one thing feels clear: many of the “new” trends weren’t new at all.  They were signals that the market was finally catching up with what women have been asking for and what we’ve been building at Curated Beauty from the very beginning.

As we look ahead to 2026, we don’t see a need to pivot or reinvent. Instead, we feel quietly reassured that our foundations are exactly where they should be.

Fewer, better products isn’t a trend, it’s the future

One of the clearest takeaways from 2025 was the move towards simplicity. Shorter routines. Less noise. Products that earn their place rather than overwhelm.  For Curated Beauty, this wasn’t a response to a trend, it was our starting point.

We created this brand because we knew that beauty and wellness had become cluttered and confusing. Endless launches, overlapping claims plus routines designed to sell more rather than serve better.

Our approach has always been intentional:

  • to curate less but choose better.
  • to build collections that work together.
  • to remove confusion, not add to it.

As we move into 2026, we believe this mindset will only become more important to us and our customers.

supporting women through change

2025 also marked a clear shift in how the beauty and wellness industry talks about ageing. The language softened. The focus moved from “anti-ageing” to healthier, more realistic conversations around longevity and wellbeing.

For us, this change simply validated what we already knew.

As midlife women, we didn’t want Curated Beauty to be about fixing age or chasing youth. It’s about supporting us women through change - hormonal, physical, emotional - with products that respect where we are in life.

Energy that lasts through the day.
Calm that supports the evening.
Skin and hair that feel cared for, not corrected.

As we look to 2026, we believe the brands that will endure are those that stop promising transformation and start offering support. Strength, steadiness and wellbeing are not trends, they’re needs.

Built on experience. Shaped by midlife.

Trust, without the theatre

Another key theme emerging from 2025 was the growing demand for science-backed beauty. Consumers are more informed, more questioning, and less willing to accept vague claims.

But there’s a difference between being informed and being overwhelmed.

At Curated Beauty, it’s not about science as performance – you won’t find us in white coats, giving you exaggerated claims or using language designed to impress rather than explain.

Our approach is expert-led, grounded in real experience.  All three of us have been in the industry for 30 plus years each, so we don’t want to overcomplicate or overpromise.  We believe trust is built through transparency and products that do exactly what they say they will.

In 2026, as scrutiny continues to grow, this quiet credibility will matter more than ever.

 Looking ahead to 2026

We’ll continue launching products we know are genuinely needed, not because the market says so, but because we feel the gaps ourselves and know other women do too. Thoughtful, expert-led essentials that earn their place in everyday routines.

We’ll also be expanding where you can find Curated Beauty, so more people can experience our products in real life, not just online. From new retail partners to collaborations that feel aligned and considered, we want Curated Beauty to be accessible in ways that feel natural, not forced.

Community will stay at the heart of everything we do. That means meeting our Curators, hosting events, collaborating with like-minded brands, and creating space for shared experiences.  Whilst continuing to provide our salon stockists with products that enhance their treatments.

And above all, we’ll keep showing up as ourselves. Being honest about midlife, sharing what we’re learning as we go, and talking openly about the challenges and wins that come with this stage of life.

Because Curated Beauty has never been about chasing what’s next.

It’s about building something meaningful, together, and taking women with us every step of the way.

FOUNDERS

At Curated Beauty, we didn’t launch on a whim or with a ready-made cheque from investors. We came to this with decades of experience, hard work, lessons learned across beauty and retail, and our own money on the line.  We started the way many women do, with determination, experience, and our own savings.

As three female founders over fifty, we’ve seen what works, what fails, and what truly matters in beauty. We know the difference between a passing fad and a product that delivers real results. We also know how easy it is to get distracted by quick wins instead of focusing on what lasts. That’s why we chose independence. By funding ourselves, we kept control, took our time, and created products we genuinely believe in.

SKIN

The skin barrier has become one of skincare’s biggest talking points and for good reason. When it’s functioning well, skin looks calm, hydrated and resilient. When it’s compromised, even the best products can suddenly sting, tingle or just stop working the way they used to.

As founders, we see barrier disruption most often when skin is overloaded, especially during winter or when actives are pushed too hard. Here’s how to tell the difference between temporary dehydration and true barrier damage, what actually helps repair it, and how to keep your routine working with your skin, not against it.
